City leaders from Glasgow, Bristol, and the City of London, along with investors and finance experts, will gather to discuss the essential role of private sector investment in achieving ambitious decarbonisation goals and fostering a just transition.The session will explore pragmatic initiatives that unite cities and investors, addressing challenges in securing investment through innovative financing, scale and replicability. The KPMG Net Zero Urban Program and the UK’s Cities Commission for Climate Investment (3Ci) will share insights from their collaboration on Net Zero Neighbourhoods, a pioneering integrated finance model that has garnered interest from investors.Over 40 UK cities have submitted Net Zero Neighbourhood proposals to 3Ci, demonstrating the collective ambition of UK cities. The Mayor of Bristol and Leader of Glasgow will discuss challenges and opportunities in their NZN proposals, shedding light on successful models like Bristol City Leap and the Glasgow Greenprint.This is not just a presentation; it’s an invitation for participants to provide valuable insights and feedback. Help take Net Zero Neighbourhood proposals from a business case to delivery by COP29 and accelerate the scale and replication of other innovative models.
